Juan Amarillo Ciudadela Park. Bogota

Proposal for a Master Plan and project for the Juan Amarillo Wetland Park.  Second Prize in the International Ideas Competition

Friday June 16, 2017  at  IDRD, the proclamation of  the winners of the public contest Parque Colsubsidio- Parque Juan Amarillo, which  the Mayor's Office of Bogotá, the IDRD and the Colombian Society of Architects to work for parks and urban public settings  from Bogota.

The second place went to the Unión Temporal Mayorga Fontana and Plano Arquitectos, with a proposal for "Green-Blue Infrastructure", which included  a Master Plan, a proposal for an Urban Park and a set of Cultural and Sports Facilities Buildings,

The contest sought to generate a proposal that would guarantee the articulation of the neighborhoods and  urban and ecological elements of the surroundings of the Bogota River and the Juan Amarillo Wetland, through a park for the city.

29 proponents were submitted to the contest. The juries to choose the first, second and third places in the public ideas competition were: Orlando Molano, IDRD Director, Andrés Ortiz, District Planning Secretary, the architect Sergio Trujillo and the architects Stella Herrera and Diana Wiesner.
