On November 10, 2016, the mayorga + fontana arquitectos team received recognition for their research career carried out between 2004 and 2016 on the topics: "Modern City and Architecture in Colombia" and "Urbanity and centrality in Bogotá" . The Awards Ceremony has been held at PORCELANOSA Flagship Showroom: Manhattan NY, 202 Fifth Avenue. The award has been awarded by the Colombian Society of Architects, New York headquarters (SCANY), which since 2010 has been in charge of highlighting biannually the production of Colombian architects or products related to Colombian architecture due to their international impact.
On November 9, during the Presentation of the finalist teams, the mayorga-fontana team also gave a conference at the headquarters of the TRESPA Design Center in Soho entitled: “The urban character of architecture”.
Also on November 11 at a work meeting at the CETRA-RUDDY headquarters STUDIO, 584 Broadway, the PAD Tour has been organized, a traveling exhibition that will travel through different offices of Colombian embassies and consulates. The planned cities are Barcelona, London, Milan, Mexico City and also Bogotá.
